Isabelle Fox, who helped Illinois State win the Midwest Independent Conference championship and send two gymnasts to the NCAA Norman Regional last season as a volunteer assistant coach, joined the Yale gymnastics staff as an assistant coach in the fall of 2023.

Fox competed for the Redbirds for two seasons before transitioning to her role as coach this past season while earning her Master’s degree. In her senior year, 2022, she earned second team All-MIC honors in the all-around, finishing fifth overall at the MIC Championship. In 2021 she was first team All-MIC in the all-around and second team All-MIC on beam, floor and vault. She was a WCGA Scholastic All-America honoree in both seasons.

Prior to joining the Redbirds Fox competed for three seasons at Alaska Anchorage, where she was first team All-MPSF twice (on floor in 2020 and in all-around in 2019) and second team All-MPSF six times (on vault in 2020, 2019 and 2018; on floor in 2019 and 2018 and in all-around in 2018). In 2018 she became the first Seawolf to be voted MPSF Freshman of the Year. She was also a two-time MPSF All-Academic Team honoree, and was named Team MVP in 2020.

Fox is a native of Houston, Texas, and graduated from Memorial High School. She competed for Flips Gymnastics.
